We're building this slowly, with clinicians.
Before we ask you to trust AI with a patient line, we're asking clinicians what would have to be true first. That's what the pilot list is for · it shapes the build around your answers on PIPEDA evidence, audit logs you can inspect, escalation rules you write yourself, and recordings to review.
The demo line answers as a hotel front desk today · the clinic voice is being designed with dental and family practice owners in Ontario.
The clinic phone rings during procedure. Now it gets answered.
Ordo books the appointment, listens for emergency tone, and hands anything clinical to a person · so the call that rings out mid-procedure still becomes a booked patient.
It tells patients it's AI, first thing.
Ordo introduces itself as the assistant, books the appointment, and transfers anything urgent before the caller has to ask.
Reception is the bottleneck · every clinic owner already knows it.
The phone rings during a procedure. Two patients are at the desk. The booking system is on a different screen. Someone walks in. The receptionist takes the message, intends to call back, and forgets · because the next patient already arrived.
Reception costs $45-60K · plus turnover
That's just daytime. Evenings, weekends, the after-hours number that nobody picks up. Then the receptionist leaves for a new job and you train someone new for three months. Ordo answers every line at every hour without any of that.
Patients book on Google's first answer
If your phone goes to voicemail and the clinic three blocks over picks up, you just lost them. New-patient acquisition cost on Google Ads in healthcare is $80-200 per click. One missed call is one wasted ad spend.
After hours, the phone just rings
The patient with the throbbing wisdom tooth at 11pm doesn't leave a voicemail. They drive to an emergency clinic and pay out of pocket. Ordo picks up at 11pm, reads emergency tone, and transfers · or schedules them in for the morning if they can wait.
How a clinic call actually moves through Ordo.
No replacement of your existing scheduling software. Ordo connects to it, books into it, and transfers anything sensitive to your staff.
Patient dials clinic
The patient calls the number printed on the door, the website, or the Google listing. Ordo picks up on the first ring · same voice at every hour.

Routine appointment · Ordo books into your existing scheduler. Possible emergency · Ordo escalates to clinical staff immediately. Medication question · escalates. Anything ambiguous · escalates with context.
Routine handled · sensitive escalatedAppointment lands in your scheduler
Live feed in the dashboard, full transcript, callback number, the patient's words verbatim. Reception sees it before the call has ended · no manual entry, no re-typing the booking.
Live to scheduler in < 2sRecognises the patient, protects the record.
Returning patients are recognised by number, so they skip the spelling-your-name-again step. Clinical details stay in your systems, not in the phone line.
It remembers the detail your callers expect you to.
The name, the usual request, the note mentioned once in passing. Ordo writes it down, so the second call feels like being recognised, not re-introduced.
The memory belongs to you.
You stay in charge of the memory. Correct a name, add a VIP note the agent will use, or forget a caller entirely from the dashboard · deletion is one click, and it sticks.
Front-desk context on the line · clinical records stay where they live.
What a clinic phone actually needs. Built around your day.
Sounds like reception · says it's AI on sentence one.
It sounds like a calm receptionist and identifies itself as an AI assistant from the very first sentence · no patient ever thinks they're talking to a human and finds out later.
"Lansdowne Family Dental, Ordo speaking. Are we booking or rescheduling?"
Books into the scheduler you already use.
There's no new booking software to adopt. Ordo connects to Jane.app, Acuity, ClinicMaster, Dentrix, and similar Canadian-friendly schedulers, and the appointment lands in your existing system as if reception typed it.
Nothing gets re-typed · the scheduler you already trust stays the source of truth.
of clinical questions go straight to a person.
Ordo never diagnoses. Never recommends a medication. Never says "you probably just have a cold." Symptom mention, medication question, pain description, sensitive concern · Ordo apologises, says it'll get a clinician on the line, and transfers immediately.
Urgent calls reach staff with context attached.
Group bookings, complaints, billing problems, in-treatment issues, medication refills, and anything that smells like an emergency get a one-line summary plus the caller's words verbatim, routed to whoever's on shift. The clinician picks up already briefed.
"Patient has throbbing pain · right molar · since last night · wants to come in today."
Every call, already charted.
Illustrative view · your live feed fills with real calls, each with a full transcript and callback number.
A voice your patients can relax into.
Two curated voices for clinics · pick one during setup, swap any time from the dashboard. Every call opens with the assistant saying it's an AI.
Generated by the same voice engine that answers the phone · what you hear is what your patients hear.
Built to extend your clinical team,
without pretending to be one.
Clinic owners ask the right questions about AI on the patient line. Here's how Ordo handles them.
Identifies as AI on the first sentence
Every call opens with Ordo introducing itself as the AI assistant, so no patient is ever misled about who they're talking to.
Never gives clinical advice
Ordo does not diagnose, suggest medication, comment on symptoms, or speculate about urgency. Anything that touches clinical judgment routes to a clinician immediately.
Symptom mention = automatic transfer
If the caller describes pain, swelling, bleeding, breathing difficulty, or any concerning symptom, Ordo apologises, says it'll grab clinical staff, and transfers · no questions about severity, no diagnostic prompts.
PIPEDA + provincial compliance
Canadian-operated. We comply with PIPEDA and Quebec Law 25. Patient data is encrypted at rest and in transit. Tenant-isolated by row-level security at the database layer.
Every call is logged

Leaving is easy
Cancel any time from the dashboard. Your patient data exports out, then deletes after 30 days · there's no contract, and nobody calls to talk you out of it.
Where the numbers come from.
Hard rules are labelled as rules. Targets are labelled as targets. Industry context is sourced. The healthcare build is in design with Canadian pilots · measured results land here once the first wave clears 30 days.

What we collect and how we handle it.
Last updated · June 2026
What we collect. When a patient calls a clinic using Ordo, the AI may collect: caller's phone number, booking details (provider, appointment type, date), and first name if provided. Stored on behalf of the clinic to confirm the appointment and personalise future calls.
AI disclosure. Ordo-powered lines are answered by an AI voice assistant. The assistant identifies itself as AI at the start of every call. Calls may be logged for quality, training, and booking accuracy.
No clinical data collection. Ordo never asks about symptoms, medications, diagnoses, or treatment. If a caller raises any of them, Ordo stops handling the call itself and brings in your clinical staff, passing along what the caller said so nobody has to repeat themselves. Ordo does not record call audio · what is kept is the written transcript, under the retention window below.
How data is used. Stored booking history is used only to confirm appointments and personalise future calls for the same patient at the same clinic. Never sold, shared, or used for advertising.
Data isolation. Each clinic's patient data is fully isolated. A clinic using Ordo cannot access any other clinic's patient records. Encrypted at rest and in transit.
Your rights. Request access, correction, or deletion at any time by contacting the clinic that operates the line you called. Operators must honour deletion requests within 30 days. Contact Ordo directly at ukugregory@gmail.com.
Retention. Patient records retained up to 24 months of inactivity, then automatically deleted. Operators may configure a shorter window.
Applicable law. Ordo is operated from Canada. We comply with PIPEDA and applicable provincial privacy legislation including Quebec Law 25.
